4 Steps to Strategic Outsourcing
Outsourcing is not a "win-win" situation right away. In fact, in order to ensure that you would get the best in outsourcing, certain strategies should be implemented.

The article, Outsourcing To Win: 4 Steps To An Effective Strategy suggests four winning ways to ensure that your company would be able to have a positive experience when dealing with their outsourcing deals. The four strategies mentioned were:

a. Picking a "head coach" - In this case, a head coach pertains to a person who has expertise when it comes to outsourcing.

b. Recognizing and Practicing Standards - Standards is very important in outsourcing because it makes sure that the company receives quality work when outsourcing.

c. Prioritizing Team-oriented vendors - The advantage of this kind of outsourcing vendor is their drive for "output" rather than money. In this way, a company gets more out of this deal.

d. Promoting balance - This strategy is directed to companies because promoting balance into outsourcing deals would put things in perspective. This means considering only tasks that are "eligible" for outsourcing as opposed to outsourcing every non-core tasks.
